Project 71 - The Floating Church

The Floating Church / Denizen Works ➨  Function : Church ➨  Location:  London, England ➨  Area:  45 m2 Hello sad people Don't lose your hope.  Today's project is a little different, It doesn't have a site but a mission, It's a boat that aims to connect community centers along the canal, every 5 years the boat will change its site and will sail in front of one of the 5 community centers that take place along the canal. The boat interior was designed in a way to adopt different events such as a church, art classes, and live music events. Most of the interior's details and cladding materials were inspired by the sail's stitching.  References:  Archdaily Enable Ginger Cannot connect to Ginger Check your internet connection or reload the browser Disable in this text field Edit Edit in Ginger Edit in Ginger × Enable Ginger Cannot connect to Ginger Check your internet connection or reload the browser Disable in this text field Rephrase Rephrase curre...

Project 66 - Mumbai Artist Retreat

Mumbai Artist Retreat / Architecture BRIO ➨  Function : Artist retreat ➨  Location:  Mumbai, India ➨  Area:  150 m2 Hello Yasmin, Thanks for your suggestion. Today's project was recommended by a friend. She said "It's just the place that I want to be at right now", After searching and reading about the project I agreed with her. Well, In fact, the project's main idea was to create a getaway for artists to come together and produce art away from the Metropole of Mumbai.  Although the site was in a rural area, It still creates a relationship with the skyline of the Metropole. The site was divided into 3 zones that contain temporary structures. To respond to the environment of the site many principles were applied, like the artificial pond and the lifting of the building. The interior of the space was flexible because of the movable panel. References:  Archdaily Enable Ginger Cannot connect to Ginger Check your internet connection or reload the browser ...

Have a moment to celebrate 👻 Besides that today Istanbul was covered with a beautiful white coat, and I couldn't stop myself from releasing my inner child into the streets. Unfortunately, I think I'm catching the flu, Let's hope I wake up well because I'm filled up this week.  Let's continue the project.  The social space of this community is the market, therefore, the main units of this structure were developed from the market tent shape. This unit's scale is retable to the city's fabric, Along with the units, other traditional space elements were used such as the stage, bridge, attic, ancient pagoda, and threshing floors....

Day 39

Wantouqiao Township Center -1 / WCY Regional Studio ➨  Function : Community center ➨  Location:  Wugang, China ➨  Area:  5531 m2 Hello sun lovers, Hope you got your Vitamin D In the last few days, I've been preparing an Instagram story that talks about community centers, I want to talk about the history of their appearance, their values, and which functions they contain. I do believe in the community center's important role in improving the lives of local residents. There should be urban codes that obligate governments to build community centers in every neighborhood.  Coincidentally, today's project is a community center that was built in a rural town in Hunan province in China. During my research on community centers,  I came to the conclusion that community centers gain their shape and function according to the social value of the local community. It's a translation of this community's definition of unity. While for some communities being toget...

After a long time tripped in my house at a glass skyscraper, today, I visited a neighborhood. I walked through its alleys, I took a photo of an old byzantine wall and I had a coffee on a bench in front of a mosque. I grew up in a neighborhood, my soul and my spirit are familiar with its intimate relations. living in a Metropol could make us forget but this pandemic helped us reach out to our inner child.  Well, It's getting personal, let's get into the project. If you're wondering what has my brief trip to do in today's project, well, it is a community center; It is a place where all the residents of the neighborhood are welcomed. W...
