Panyaden International School ➨  Function : School ➨  Location:  Thailand ➨  Area:  1500 m2 Hello people Hope you're taking care of your selves  Today's project was a little bit different, When I first started learning about it, I was really fascinated; the building techniques, the use of natural materials, the relation with the surroundings, and the ability to variate different functions under the same building technique, It was going very smoothly and perfect until I found out something, the real intentions behind the design. Bare with me  School's site plan The project is an international school that takes place in Thailand, the school's main principle is to bring students back to nature so It could affect their personal development, Until here everything is good right, but as you see at the diagram below the design was inspired by the lotus flower, personally, I believe that this is a marketing game, to connect the design to a national symbol, lik...

Day 30

Ratchut School / Design in Motion Hello adventurers,  hope you're taking risks,  Today I had my first team meeting for the school competitions that I talked about earlier. therefore, I continued my research on the school design. I come across a primary school in Thailand. the site takes place in a rural area way from the city center, It surrounded by fields and a highway, I believe that schools should be inside neighborhoods where children can create intimate relations with their first living environments.  The school adopts a Montessori learning system, this system believes that children have the ability to naturally learn in a sufficiently supportive and well-prepared learning environment. Therefore, the architects aimed to create a space that resembles a home more than a typical classroom, a space where indoor and outdoor are integrated and landscape elements create different spaces for different activities.  In the diagrams below, we can see how architects g...

Day 28

The Noor e Mobin G2 Primary School / FEA Studio Hello, night owls, hope you're awake for you and only you.  Today I was looking for architectural competitions, I came across a pre-school design competition in Ethiopia. Although I didn't decide yet if I want to participate or not, I started small research. As I was scrolling through Archdaily's project. I was stopped by a school designed in Iran. If you follow architectural news you should be familiar with how many talented architects Iran had offered in the last decade.  Let me be honest, at first, I admired the project, the pictures did reflect a cozy spirit, but as I was analyzing it I started seeing some lost pieces.  Well, let's start.  The project is the second site that was designed in Noor-e Mobin educational complex. One of the missing pieces was this complex. planned to built in a rural area near Bastam city in Iran. No resources talked about this project except a site diagram that divided the land in a func...

Day 10

Enrico Fermi School / BDR bureau hello people,  Today's project is a very special one, I had a good time reading and analyzing it. It's that kind of project where you feel the value of architecture and its impact on society and everyday life. This project is an example of how architecture thrives from the community and how it reflects its benefits.  Well, let's get into the project. The site was occupied by the school building since 1960 and the need for an extension has raised additional questions about  How can a community regain a school and as a result how can a school regain a community. This project is an answer to that question.  the school building, 2005 The architect worked on a series of principles that rely on reorganizing the existing and adding additional elements.  1- reorganizing the backyards of the school to be a park that creates relations with the city. 2- extend the public sphere to the ground floor by creating public functions like a library...
