Day 1 - Unique mount Emei theatre

Case 1: Unique mount Emei theatre / WG Studio + BIAD-BOA Studio.

I will admit for the first project this one was complicated, there are few sources that talked about it, and unfortunately no interior photos nor plans. BUT at the same time, it was interesting to learn about the Emei mountain and explore its magnificent nature and artifacts.

Z. note: through this experience, I'm hoping to develop my own technique of representing projects but until then you have to bear up with my beautiful words and sketches ;)

Well, let's get into the project.

The project takes place near the breathtaking Emei mountain, therefore the architect tried to embody the natural image of the area into architectural elements. The idea of the theatre was displaced throughout three different spaces creating a continuous scene that allowed the audience to experience different stories and feelings.

The first space is: "Above the clouds" which is articulated throughout the 4 buildings, here you explore the feeling of overlooking from above as we experience when we are at the top of the mountain.

The second space is: "In the clouds" which is articulated throughout the landscape that is made up to look like a sea of clouds, so you can explore the feeling of being carried out to heaven therefore the top of the mountain.

The third space is: "under the clouds" which is articulated throughout the preserved old village, here in the human world, you will listen to the stories of people and their lives.

Above the clouds
Under the clouds
In the clouds

Day 12

Ternion Villas / Studio Toggle Hello, snowman,  hope you're doing fine I'm really not getting ArchDaily's algorithm of choosing projects, like how often they change the featured projects and how they choose it. Well, today I made my own choice.  After analyzing the work market, I figured that most of the jobs are residential projects in Arab bay, therefor I started seeking projects in the field, and I ended up working on designing a villa's facade in Saudi Arabia. After this short story, I think you figured out today's project. It is a villa in Kuwait. I need to get familiar with their design codes, So BEAR with me.  Well, let's get into the project. The project site that is located near the bay's threshold, is made of three villas. the main design criteria are creating introverted climate-controlled spaces. The masses are divided according to the wind, sun, and view. The living spaces like the kitchen and the living room are located on the ground floor arou...

Day 9

Friendship Hospital Satkhira / Kashef Chowdhury/URBANA hello people, First, let give ArchDaily a thanks note for their featured building today. After hopeless days finally, today's building is interested. It was my first time reading about a building in Bangladesh. Finding this beautiful hospital in a rural area has raised a small hope inside me.  Z. note : Today I tried an alternative method in reading the project, I tried to find the principles behind the structure, developing principles that are related to the context of the site and the function of the building could be really critical, but,  you know,  that is the fun part of the design process.  Z. note:  I used a more diagrammatic representation method today. Although I really enjoyed you guys my ghost army and although I started this blog for myself. The need for people's approval is pushing me to promote this blog by opening an Instagram page. Well, let's get into the project. The 8 bedrooms hospital si...

Day 15

La Cite Moderne /  Victor Bourgeois Hello guys,  hope you're not upset about me posting at 3 am. I know you've been waiting :') Today's topic is a little different, recently with a human organization building low-cost houses for refugees in northern Syria. the discussion of how the design of refugees camp should be has been around, especially with the same organization launching a competition for a new camp next year.   I didn't decide to join yet, but there is no harm with small research, Therefore, Today I started searching for a refugee camp, well there are very few ones. So I grow my search circle and came to social houses. hoping I will get to understand the principles of designing camps.  Well after a long introduction, Let's get into the project.  After WWII, the need for quick and affordable houses has emerged, especially with the wave of immigrants moving to the city for work. Today's project considers one of the biggest modern social house project...
