Hi people,
I will admit, nowadays ArchDaily's featured projects are really boring, well, It could be that architectural practices are so unrelaxable to the reality. Addressing the actual problems is only seen in competitions or academic work, nothing tangible.
Anyway, Today's project is promising and sad at the same time. promising because the relationship between humans and nature is recognized and the need for green spaces is reflected in the project. Sad because the idea of the human need to create an isolated environment from the city is dangerous. The moment we lose hope in a city that responds to our needs, a city that connects us together through public spaces and to nature through green spaces, is a moment we lose our collectiveness.
Well, let's get into the project.
The project's main concept relay on dividing horizontally the building into two spaces, one for nature and another for human activities, and reconnecting vertically those spaces through slabs.
