Ratchut School / Design in Motion
Hello adventurers,
hope you're taking risks,
Today I had my first team meeting for the school competitions that I talked about earlier. therefore, I continued my research on the school design. I come across a primary school in Thailand. the site takes place in a rural area way from the city center, It surrounded by fields and a highway, I believe that schools should be inside neighborhoods where children can create intimate relations with their first living environments.
The school adopts a Montessori learning system, this system believes that children have the ability to naturally learn in a sufficiently supportive and well-prepared learning environment. Therefore, the architects aimed to create a space that resembles a home more than a typical classroom, a space where indoor and outdoor are integrated and landscape elements create different spaces for different activities.
In the diagrams below, we can see how architects got inspired by natural elements and successfully translated them into architectural elements that created different learning environments.
