Hello people,
hope you're ready for SNOW :)
Recently, I've been feeling like I'm just re-writing Archdaily's posts, I haven't drawn a thing for a week, maybe because I'm busy preparing for an exam next week, but that is not an excuse, I didn't start this blog for just re-writing posts, Well, at first, I really didn't know what I wanted from this challenge, I hoped I'd figure that by now 🙇. Let's hope that I will find something to spice this experience.
Well, I blabbered enough, Let's get into the project.
Today's project takes place on the beach of Akranes city in Iceland, It's a public bath that offers a different experience for the residents of the city. The project is an example of how public spaces in small towns could create an attraction point for tourists and in resalt with positive effects on local communities.
The project's main concept is inspired by the scene that depression causes, creating small sea pools on the beach. This idea resulted in creating three semi-circular levels;
1- viewing platform
2- main hot pool
3- cooler pool
Other important elements in creating the atmosphere of the design are offered by nature, here the seasons, tides, lights, and weather contribute to the experience
